Biography

Born in Milan on September 7, 1957. He graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery in 1982. Psychiatry specialist in 1986. PhD in Psychiatry and Relational Sciences in 1991. Post doc courses at the Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm (1995), the Psychiatric Institute of Washington (1998) and Boston University, School of Medicine (2005). Psychiatrist at the Department of Clinical Psychiatry, IRCCS Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico, Milan, Italy since 1990. Head of the Clinical Neuropsychopharmacology Unit of the same Department since 1995. Consultant  Professor at the University of Milan from 1990. He has conducted research in clinical psychopharmacology documented by over 300 publications in Italian and international journals. He is a member of the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology and an international member of the American Psychiatric Association. He is a member of the Section on Pharmacopsychiatry of the World Psychiatric Association
