Biography
I am a physician (MBBS) currently serving as a Clinical Research Fellow in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at The MetroHealth System / Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. My clinical and academic work spans three primary areas:
1. Neuromodulation and Pain Management – My central research focus, encompassing peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS) for refractory chronic pain syndromes (low back pain, occipital neuralgia, shoulder and facial pain, whiplash), vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) for PTSD and chronic pain, and stellate ganglion stimulation. I have contributed to multiple published case series, abstracts, and an ongoing retrospective-prospective clinical trial in this area.
2. Perioperative and Airway Management – I have authored and co-authored case reports and reviews on complex anesthetic scenarios, including patients with rare syndromes (Coffin-Lowry, Pallister-Killian, Pierre Robin Sequence), high-risk cardiovascular cases (TAVR), obstetric neuraxial anesthesia, and intraoperative emergencies.
3. Medical Education and Quality Improvement – I have led work on intraoperative teaching innovations (Intraoperative Learning Modules), perioperative quality initiatives, and surgical efficiency projects, with presentations at national conferences.
My recent publications appear in journals including Anesthesia & Analgesia, Interventional Pain Medicine, BMC Anesthesiology, JCA Advances, and Radiology Case Reports, among others. I also have several manuscripts currently under review and in press, including a book chapter on inpatient pain management.
I have prior experience as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Anesthesia (Elsevier) and Case Reports in Medicine (Wiley), and I welcome the opportunity to contribute further in this capacity.
