I am an energetic passionate researcher with extensive research experience and a strong background in genomic instability, DNA repair, hereditary helicase disorders, and tumorigenesis. Throughout my research career, I have expanded my scientific skills to excel in both biochemical and biological systems, as well as small molecule screens and drug characterization, bioactive compounds from dietary sources and their synthetic analogs. My efforts have led to the discovery of novel anti-cancer agents for cancer chemoprevention and chemotherapy. I have utilized these pharmacologically active small molecules as tools to understand the roles of target proteins in cellular functions and downstream pathways. I have successfully completed and published multiple projects involving preclinical and translational research in different pathways that have provided unique insights into the molecular mechanisms and pathways leading to cancer development and rare diseases.
