Biography
Dr. Ibrahim Alshaikh is an assistant professor in the civil engineering department at the University of Science and Technology, Sana'a, Yemen. He holds a Ph.D. in structural engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia. He also earned his master's degree and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Science and Technology (USTY), Yemen. Dr. Alshaikh's research interests focus on the progressive collapse of structures, strengthening and rehabilitation of structures, numerical analysis, and the sustainable utilization of waste materials in construction to address the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He has been actively involved in several international research projects over the past years, from proposal writing to grant implementation, collaborating with co-authors from multiple universities. He has served as a reviewer for several reputable international journals, and he has received numerous awards for his academic excellence and contributions.
