Dr. Krishnendu Ghosh is a distinguished researcher, currently at the Department of Pathology, Carver College of Medicine, University of Iowa. He is also a Visiting Scholar at the Blue Marble Space Institute of Science, Seattle, USA working on astrobiology and Space medicine. He is also associated with the European Association of Neuro-oncology (EANO) mentorship program. He holds a Ph.D. in Neuro-oncoimmunology from the University of Calcutta, India. Dr. Ghosh's research portfolio encompasses cancer biology with emphasis on glioma-microglia interactions and sarcoma metastasis, immunology focusing on microglial polarization and autoimmunity, astrobiology investigating extremophile biology and biosignatures, and molecular biology examining gene regulation and therapeutic targets. His current investigations concentrate on Hippo pathway fusion proteins in sarcoma progression and short amyloid peptides as potential biosignatures in astrobiology-space medicine applications. With over 20 peer-reviewed publications and 6 book chapters, Dr. Ghosh has established significant contributions to oncology, cell biology, neuroscience and astrobiology. He serves as Founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Molecular Astrobiology and Space Medicine Research and maintains active reviewer roles for numbers of prestigious cell and cancer biology journals of repute. Dr. Ghosh holds memberships in distinguished academic organizations including the European Association of Neuro-oncology, American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Society for Immunotherapy in Cancer, and the Astrobiology Society of Britain.
