The discovery of Tyrosine Kinase inhibitors (TKIs) of Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) represented a significant revolution for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In fact, they are administered orally, on an out-patient basis, at fixed dose, and independently of weight, height, sex or age.
