Biography

I am a specialist in mitochondrial bioenergetics (plant/animal). Measurement of the mitochondrial membrane potential and the variation of it in flow cytometry (1986, 1990 and 1992). We made the demonstration of the key role played by mitochondria in apoptosis (1994, 1995 and 1996) before the discovery by Wang’s team of the cytochrome c release. We studied the destabilization of mitochondrial bioenergetics by Bid and tBid in relation with cardiolipin/caspase-8 (2008, 2013). Autophagy  more recently.

I did some work in toxicology that is well cited, concerning either curcumin behaviour and/or the effect of highly toxic products like endosulfan + 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD).
