Background/Purpose: The significance of Dense Fine Speckled (DFS) pattern Anti-nuclear antibodies (ANA) by indirect mmunofluorescence (IIF) is unclear in the existing research. We aimed to investigate associations between positive ANA with DFS pattern and multiple autoimmune and rheumatic conditions.

Primary Sjögren’s syndrome (pSS) is an autoimmune rheumatic disease characterized by a lymphocytic infiltration of exocrine glands. It mostly becomes apparent in women between 40 and 60 years old. Its clinical manifestations are heterogeneous, ranging from sicca syndrome to extra glandular manifestations.
