Unlocking the potential: Keto diet's impact on immunity, obesity, neurodegenerative diseases, and cardiovascular diseases
An ancient proverb like “we are what we eat”, entails the significance and an influence of dietary habits and thereby nutrients on all living beings. A universal system encompasses various categories of classes that recognize consequences of various diets on immunity and thereby on the health of an individual. These mechanisms mainly consist of epigenetic machineries, metabolic pathways, circadian rhythms, and diet-responsive effectors. In this light, various clinical studies exhibit immune-modulatory and beneficial effects of interceding nutrients on various diseases.
Psoriatic arthritis and cardiovascular disease
Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a chronic inflammatory skeletal and dermatological disease with heterogeneous clinical features and a strong relationship with spondyloarthritis group, sharing several genetic, clinical and radiographic characteristics and with a prevalence in the western country populations around 0.07-0.42.
Retrospective evaluation of heart failure verification and relation to readmission and all-cause mortality in a community-based cohort
The use of administrative databases to determine predictors for heart failure (HF) readmission, cardiovascular, or all-cause mortality (ACM) requires HF coding that is verifiable. It is assumed that administrative databases have HF verified via coders based on physician documentation and additional criteria.
Shared care left ventricular assist device site to implant center: the next step in advanced heart failure treatment and an essential part of healthcare worldwide
Heart failure is a growing pandemic affecting approximately 6.2 million people in the US and 15 million people worldwide. Given its prevalence, high morbidity and mortality, and financial burden on our healthcare system, establishing strategies focused on improving therapeutic outcomes and prognosis has become a major priority.
Recent developments in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiovascular diseases through artificial intelligence and other innovative approaches
Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) remain a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, and early diagnosis, treatment, and management are essential for reducing the burden of these diseases. This systematic review provides an update on recent developments in the field of CVDs, including the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in diagnosis and management, advances in genetic testing and precision medicine, the role of telemedicine and remote monitoring technologies, novel therapies such as gene therapy and cell therapy, and the importance of addressing mental health in the prevention and management of CVDs.
