Abstract
We present a case of late-onset eye manifestations in a Chinese girl of 18 years old with sporadic BS, presenting only mild eye inflammation. We performed comprehensive ocular examinations including fluorescein fundus angiography (FFA) and indocyanine green angiography (ICG) for her. The oral hormone plus local anti-inflammatory eye drops have well controlled the inflammation of her eyes.

Management of traumatic fracture-dislocation of the shoulder in children: A systematic review of published case reports
Proximal humerus fracture with simultaneous shoulder dislocation in children is a rare occurrence, with few reported cases. This systematic review of case reports aimed to document the outcomes of different treatment methods. A comprehensive literature search from 1980 to 2024 included case reports on traumatic shoulder fracture-dislocation in children. Eighteen studies were included, with a mean followup of 1.5 years. The cases comprised 7 boys and 11 girls, aged between 11 months and 16 years (median 6 years). The cases were divided into two groups based on epiphysealinvolvement.
Commentary on: Hydatidiform mole in the scar of uterus: a case report
We read with great interest the paper published by Jiang et al. [1]. They illustrated a case of cesarean scar molar pregnancy in which the patient complained of vaginal bleeding and amenorrhea, and the concentration of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) increased abnormally and eventually recovered following comprehensive therapy including suction evacuation, uterine arterial embolization (UAE), and chemotherapy.
Escaping a storm alive: A case report of a young woman’s acute presentation of thyroid storm leading to cardiac arrest salvaged by VA-ECMO
Thyroid storm is a rare but potentially life-threatening form of thyrotoxicosis. The presence of excessive thyroid hormones leads to toxic direct and indirect effects on the cardiovascular system resulting in entity known as thyrotoxicosis-induced cardiomyopathy (TCM).
Kinking of an epidural catheter inside the epidural space: Case report
Kinking of an epidural catheter is a rare complication associated with the catheter material, diameter, design and length of introduction inside the epidural space. Flushing test should be attempted before fixation of the catheter on the skin to ensure its normal function. If a kink located distal to the skin is suspected, a slight withdrawal could relieve the obstruction, but usually the complete withdrawal and new catheter placement is needed.
Case Report of a Contained Ascending Aortic Rupture
Aortic aneurysm rupture is typically the failure of the aortic wall to withstand the tension placed upon it by a patient’s blood pressure. Along with clinical judgement and an assessment of signs and symptoms, a computed topography angiogram (CTA) is amongst the first line of diagnostic studies having 87-94% sensitivity for rupture. Therefore, while the possibility of a CTA not catching an aortic rupture is present, the chance is very low. Usually a missed or delayed diagnosis for this type of pathology is catastrophic resulting in patient death. We present the case report of a 68-year-old male with a contained aortic rupture that was initially missed on CTA.
